got some krylon to paint the back of my tank.
But the tank is indoors and staying that way, to heavy to lug back downstairs to paint outside.

Should i pick up some acrylic paint instead and use a roller? or cover my entire room and try the krylon? which looks better? leaves less lines?

Use a roller and you can leave it lineless if you roll it properly, of course mask what you dont want rolled. - avoid the stink and spray.

oh and buy a GOOD lint free roller sleeve, then clean it really well when you get home, as lint will still come out of it, and you dont want lint in your paint.

acrylic paint? or is there any better kind?

acrylic is fine. It won't be getting touched so it won't ware off, if you ever want it gone just scape it right off.
When cleaning use a light soft feeling sponge with water only, it will last longer.

When cleaning the acrylic surface?

What I meant was, if you ever feel the need to clean the back of the tank (dust, buildup, etc) after is has been painted with acrylic, use a soft sponge and a bit of water only.

Of course clean it really well before painting it also.

your tank is glass or acrylic ?

If your tank is acrylic you can't just scrape it back off down the road like glass.
