I'm going to build a stand for my 180 gallon, and I had an idea, what if I painted it with truck bed liner? Has anyone done this before?

Properly done it would probably increase the longevity of your stand,apparently there also a way to mix paint into the bed liner to affect the color
I don't know as you'd want to. Seems like it would be a pain to clean and show dust and dechlorinator spills.
I suppose if you have concrete floors with drains and can just hose it off it might be OK.
I wonder if the rubber would react with the plastic tank frame, or the tank if it's acrylic. You might never get the tank off the stand.

It's probably overkill compared to a couple coats of good paint, maybe external paint. But I don't see any issues.
I'll probably just paint it with black exterior paint. It's a glass tank with a plastic frame, I don't want it to get stuck to the stand.
