Painting Aquarium

Help, I want to paint the back of my aquarium but I wanted to know if there was a specific type of paint I should buy for an acrylic aquarium?

i just used regular spray paint, just be sure you follow the directions on the bottle.

you may be able to use latex paint if you think you may change your mind. i painted my glass with latex, and when you want to take it off it peels off like plastic

even better. I need to make a quick dcisions because Im thinking of heading to home depot today and do this..

Cheapest one there. just make sure you cover the sides(if you're not painting them) so you don't spray it by accident when you're at the corner

I’ve used both spray paint and latex paint… I highly recommend latex…

I’ve used latex paint to paint the back of an aquarium right in the living room… spray paint requires far more preparation and protection to prevent over spray… Also as mentioned (on glass tanks) I’ve been able to very simply peel latex paint right off the tank. I am unsure if this will work with an acrylic tank…

Using any kind of paint thinner on acrylic will damage the acrylic…

Using paint thinner on a glass aquarium may risk eating away at the silicone…

thanks for the advice. I think im going to try the latex paint. Do they cost alot?
