Will painting my tank black help bring out better colours in my Aros? I don't have any Asians, just a jardini, black and a silver. Hoping to get another Juvi silver somewhere around next week.

I'm planning on painting the two sides of the tank and also the back, or will painting only the back be sufficient?

wait too koji chimes in but if it was me id do back and side, not sure about bottom but i have black side, black back,my fish arent so dark so i think paint bottom and you need white lights too bring out the color

Paint the back and bottom panels. Leave the front and both sides clear. Paint the outside, not inside

I have a black gravel, so tht can substitute painting the bottom black right? and will it bring out better colour in a silver? thats what im plannin on putting in there, will it help a black aro to become darker?

i think so my black aro got a little darker

I have my tank black on the back and bottom. It's a nice look. Couldn't imagine doing any of the sides =O

will post pics when I relocate the tank and add my black substrate ;)

from my experience, painting a tank black anywhere on the out side turns ever pane into a mirror if you look at it from the inside.
