What type of paint should i use to paint the back of my all glass 220 gallon tank?

-Justin

I used enamel. Rolled it on. Took a couple of coats and form what I've been told, a razor blade will take it off easily and without scratches.

Regular old house paint works marvelous... It goes on easy and is easy to remove.

Spray paint works, but overspray becomes a major concern durign application and removing the spraypaint is a lot of work, very messy work.

Krylon Fushion is recommended for submerged purposes. But for the outside of the glass it's just overpriced spraypaint. Also it's worth pointing out that the manufacturer of Krylon Fushsion does NOT state anything abotu it being fish safe and DOES state that their product has in no way been tested on animals. But it has been proven by us hobbyists to be safe. But that makes me wonder how many other products are just as safe...

I believe I used exterior gloss. Get if from Lowe's they have a really small container you can buy so you don't have to by the gallon or half gallon.

I used Rustoleum Professional (or some such crap) spray paint. Taped off, shot a few coats and it looks fantastic. Easy to do and looks like it will last too.

You can use Fusion on items going inside the tank? I have a thermostat probe that's white that stands out against my background that has been bothering me but I wasn't sure what I could do about it. Also has the added difficulty of being an item that bends even though it rarely gets moved.

I used black vinyl from a local sign shop cheap, no dry time and NO fumes...

that is just like using tint for your windows, but instead you can use it for your tank, like he said it is fast and safe.
