Painting my tank

I've decided to paint the back of my tank black, but I have no idea of how to go about it. What kind of paint? Do I have to re locate my fish for a while? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

just paint the outside of the tank black no need to move the fish at all if u do that

I just went and got a can of spray paint, nothing special. That was about a year ago, and the tanks still look good.

i painted the bottom of my tank with house paint

as long as its on the outside of the tank u should be able to paint it with anything u want

make sure if you use spray paint that it does not get into the tank.. when the fish are in it...

Yeah spray point is going to be extremely hard to do with the tank filled up and fish in it. Even paint might be hard. I'd go with paint. Whatever paint you get make sure it is acrylic because if you ever decide to take it off its easy to remove. I got my paint at Michaels craft store. Not sure if you have one by you but check out a craft store if you don't. And make sure the paint is not water soluble.

MUST be acrylic paint. Later if you dont want it anymore it comes off really easy.
