hi i wanted to know how i can paint return pipe in my aquarium black its made out of pvc and it the return from my sump, i heard i could cover it with electrical tape but i dont know if its water safe , so can i use electrical tape or do i have to get a special paint thank u

p.s im doing this cuz i dont like the look of it, and how come i cant post a pic it says upload failed its jpeg so it should work, i never had this problem on this site before

I heard Krylon fusion paint is safe for aquarium use when dry. I would do a search on this site also to be safe.

The Krylon Plastic or Rustoleum Plastic spray paint works well. I painted my Rena XP3 intake and outlet black with the Rustoleum Plastic and it worked really well.

Krylon fusion. Used it last month. Scrapes easily. Careful with rockwork

i painted mine black with plastic paint from home depot, let it dry then wash it with cold water untill i dont smell the paint on the pipe..so far no sick fish

so i think im going to use the krylon like u all suggested and i let it cure for 2 days?
also i have a problem with the flow for my return it is putting in 999 gph in my tank and its pointing torwards my built in overflow and whenever i put food in the tank the current of the water will make the food disappear into the built in overflow before my fish can eat it so i was thinking of doing this thing i saw in this video the links right here so someone post it for me its the black part with holes spreading the output flow tell me what u think about the idea
