I want to paint the PVC that is in the tank and not sure if there is a specific brand to use that is safe for the fish.

Many people, including myself, used/uses Krylon Fusion. Just do a light sanding for prep and give it plenty of time to dry (the longer, the better)

I believe Krylon states states 7 days for maximum cure or hardness of finish, but I have seen people spray intakes etc and add them into their tank within a few hrs. Personally I waited the full 7 days - years later still no issues.

Ive had good luck with rustoleum acrylic paints, but it may chip away if scrubbed with an algae pad
