Is there a paint out there that can be used on the inside of the tank. My tank is a old metal framed tank .There are mineral deposits underneath the metal top. So it would be nice to be able to paint the inside so I won't be able to see the white stuff.

I bought the tank from a LFS that was going out of business. They hadn't cleaned it very well over the years. I could only clean the deposits if I disassembled the tank.

Krylon Fushion paint has been proven aquarium safe by hobbyists...

Krylon Fushion's manufacturer states tht their product has not been tested on animals and they do not suggest it is potable safe...

This leads me to wonder how many other brands are actually aquarium safe despite not being labeled as such due to not being tested on animals...

Krylon Fushion may or may not adhere to glass...

Drylock is rated for potable use and can be colored with latex house paint pigments... I am not sure if Drylock adheres well to glass...

Clean the deposits off with vinegar and paint the outside of tank.

I agree! Why risk painting on the inside? Also once the paint is on it will be harder to see the deposits if you can't clean them off completely.

Do people on this site not read the post! Again... THE MINERAL DEPOSITS ARE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TANK UNDER THE METAL FRAME. To clean them I would have to take the whole tank apart. Not just drain it. Actually take all the glass out of the frame.
