I am about 80% sure I will be getting a 20 gallon tall (24 x 12 x 16)tank in a month or two and want to try breeding cichlids. They need to be ok in the tank for life and good enough parents not to eat their fry. All kinds of cichlids interest me but ones I don't want to breed are convicts (can't get rid if fry fast enough) or apistos just because they are to docile for my liking. I want the pair to show the stereotypical cichlid breeding behavior so I have a chance to observe them. A lot of cichlids or types of cichlids I do like are kribs, mbunas, shell dwellers (love tanganykans), firemouths, keyholes, and a bunch others. The pair would be the only fish in the tank. Thanks for the help guys!
