The dull colored one looks like it has some kind of tube coming out.Nest building?they have been rearranging the tank and chase everything else away from one particular spot.
 
It's gonna happen, I may take a couple of spawns, that get eaten, etc....

But from the sounds of it, you are golden.

Sweet.Ill have to start keeping an eye out for eggs.

place slate or flat driftwood somewhere in the aquarium to hold the eggs, though most fry do not survive, some still do, in the last batch for mine they had about 300, theres still at least 70 there are going on 1/2". from the pics it is most certain your female is carrying eggs, good luck with your fry.

Not to worried if none survive this time.But would like to try to save a few.
She has only looked like for a few days.How long does it usually take for the to lay?Ill have to go find some slate in a bit.
 
Deff looks like my pair. they like a flat rock... slate is the best.

The one in the front is the female

Notice that the female has fewer black spots on her lower body.
