so i just picked up a new bichir and hes to small for my 50g... looks like my sen could eat him.. so i was planing on putting it in my 5g with 3 shrimp and a cory.. then moving it to my 20 with a breeding pair of angels.. or should i just put him with the angel off the bat.. the bichir is around 1-2 inches

Looks like Polypterus Senegalus, the young ones tend to have stripes or marking on them but disappear once they get larger. If you put him in the 5g he will probably try and eat the shrimp depending on size. I would put him in with the angels he would be fine, feed him at night time after the lights are off and the angels won't steal his food.

I'm pretty sure its a Sen, I have a Palmas Polli and its head is much more slender than a sens, more of an arrowhead shape. It could be a Palmas Buettikoferi just really faded but they are more yellow gold than tan color, and neither of mine has any stripes on them like whats in the pic. Its really common for LFS to label any poly as a Palmas something.

well i just looked at it again and by the tail it not really a stripe its more spotted... going to take another pick if i can.. and i shall google pics of palmas...... somehow i think my title is spelled wrong.... well if it is found a Sen it shall go back..... im alittle irritated just saying... might kill things on Battlefield 3... ><
