Top pic looks normal to me. It's got all the yellow they're supposed to have on the mouth and fin borders along with normal body color that i've been accustomed to seeing. If he's stressed, i don't see yellow improving on the mouth and fins. The driftwood and gravel changed colors too (unless it's different substrate & driftwood). Heavy breathing and unusual movements or activity are gd signs to look for if plec is in trouble

The water is 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and 5 nitrate. It is the same gravel and the same piece of driftwood he is hiding behind. That is his favorite hiding spot. He eats cut up fish, cat-scrapers, and occasionally vegetables. He is not breathing heavily and i think it is stress from putting cut up fish on a prong on a piece of slate so the cactus plecos in the tank would come out for food. I was just making sure he is OK because he is one of my favorite fish.

If he's eating normal, I wouldn't worry. L14 are such active fish usually when food hits the water as they bounce around searching, it's pretty easy to tell by lack of appetite when things aren't right, gd luck. And I don't blame you fear of losing him, mines one of my favorite fish as well. It would certainly ruin my day if I lost mine
