palmas or senegalus?

so i special ordered a polypterus palmas from my lfs. But it doesn't look to much like a palmas to me... Is it just young, or is it a senegal? it's around 3 in right now.

It looks like a senegal. It doesn't seem to have any of the marbling pattern at all on the lower part of his body.

for some reason, no one sells them as senegals, its always palmas bichirs or dinosaur eels lol. my lfs sells albino sens as albino dragon tiger fish or somewhere along those lines
