palota not well....

Last 48 hours my Palota has been unwell. Seems to keep his mouth partially open and his body has gone white. He swims head down and generally looks unwell.

Water params are all fine and the bigger Indo is fine. Won't eat and bit all other fish in the tank are on.

He is not bullied and has no war wounds

Is this all of a sudden,it may have parasites?

He died through the night.

yeah was very very quick takeover.

will do a bug water change tonight and treat the water, but no one else is showing any issues thankfully

Sorry for the loss,my suspicion is that the fish already had the problem before you purchased it and the condition just quietly worsened.How long had you had the fish?Its usually the thin bars that succumb to parasites and such.

I have not had the Palota long. Very annoying. Is what it is thought the Indo seems absolutely fine and eats like a horse

I had an IT for over a year that dies in a similar way. It was about 13". One morning the fins turned white, then the body. Head down most of the time. From time it started till it was dead was about 5 hours.Strange.
