Panaque sp. Flash Pleco, L204

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A L204 should be fine with your cory(s) as there is no reason for it to show any aggression towards them, although I have heard that they can be quite aggressive towards each other.

As with all panaque they will eat a certain amount of wood so provide them with a couple of types, their staple diet should consist of different fresh vegetables supplemented with flake and protein.

im gonna feed the L204, Cactus wood and lettuce, what else would it enjoy?

also what should i feed the C32?

can i ad 4 cherry shrimp to the tank? would L 204 eat them?

thanks

P.s. i haven't bought anything yet im still in planning mode.

I wouldnt recommend lettuce as a staple because comparatively (I think) it has less nutrients than say sweet potato, brocoli, cucumber, courgette/zuchini (I would suggest those).

If cactus wood is safe to use in aquaria then use it, other varieties of wood would also be useful as the L204 may have preferences.

For my cories I feed good quality flake tablets (sera) plus occasional prawn. They also sift through the algae tablet, vegetable matter, wood, for my plecos.

No experience with shrimps so couldnt say.

would i need to prepare a zucchini in anyway or do i just throw it in?

Just weigh it down and chuck it in, I take off half the skin because some of my plecos dont it like it.

does it need to be organic?

what should the Cory - C32 blochi diet consist of?

thanks.

Organic would reduce the risk of any contaminant such as pesticide/insecticide within the food but I dont bother.

Cories arent my main interest so someone else probably has better advice.
