pansonic video camera uses dv tapes. comes with EVERYTHING: cables, remote, battery, charger, case, extra tapes, etc etc... you do not need to buy anything else... got it at Best Buy about 1.5 years ago, used it a few times to play around, but near mint. retail at Best Buy for $599
