Ah, good old pier aquatics.
Saw these online and wondered how much the blacks were going for vs the original colour.
not seen the grow out colour so will be interested to watch.
I would expect them to remain darker and grow to the same size as standard colour personally.

They are only £72 I told myself I wouldn't buy another red tail but I am curious ,bought that Bagarius as well so will see what it turns out to be .
They also had a Wallago in , didn't you buy one too ,pretty sure it's micropogon

Keep us updated on both progress. Interested to see how the Goonch turns out as the photos were a little inconclusive. Didn’t realize it was one pier had in. Certainly interested to see how the redtail goes. Were you hoping for a full 4ft+ Beast in black? Have you got room for that? ? give me a shout if not when he gets there, as the Wallago may have polished everything else off by then! The Wallago is now around a foot in length and whilst it has faint striping I am fairly sure it’s micropogon too.

Neil reckons the Goonch came in as Yarelli but I feel its probably one of the smaller ones.
As I mentioned in my opening post I thought my Red tail days are behind me but am curious to see how it grows and if it retains the black.
I only spotted the Wallagonia at the last minute so it was a bit of an impulse buy but I'm pretty sure it's microporon.
I'm reaching an age where some of this stuff might outlive me so it could well be folly me buying it in the first place ;-)
