Want to start a little panfish fishing. What baits perform good for you guys? Besides worms,ect...

I find they go INSANE for roaches . I have caught big roaches than hooked them within seconds of hitting the water big suns hit it .

Crickets are great to but break apart REAL fast . I have caught them also with pieces of chicken liver and Kentucky Fried chicken skin lol though as a whole I eat it .
I have tried worms, crickets and roaches and if there is 1 sunfish in the area it will go insane for that roach

wow, the 1 bug in the world im petrified of. I will pick up a snake of black widow, but not a roach! How about mealworms or something like that they sell at walmart?

little poppers. Get a bubble bobber and put 2-3 feet above the popper and just start popping. You'll catch a ton plus the occasional bass.

Like said above, the little panfish poppers made for flyfishing are fantastic on panfish! If you dont fly fish just use a bobber for weight. Also deadly are the foam "ant" or "spider" flies withthe rubber legs. Again fish them under a bobber if you are not fly fishing.

For crappie, feather jigs under a float are the best producers.

The Roaches here are HUGE due to hot year round temps (cold spells but rare) some of biggest insects I have ever seen.

I am training one to fill in at work for me this way I can cut out early go fishing or surfing with my wife .
I am 5 '10' and the roach I found is 5'6' so if he sits at desk and doesnt walk around I wont be noticed infact he might get more done than I usually do. His spelling and punctuation are way better than mine that might give me away.

get the smallest crankbaits you can find tht stay shallow those work great for producing big sunfish.
