I was reading this thread http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159569

and one of the members mentions how they would love to have one and from what i understand they are illegal to have in the us?

Can someone explain the law with these fish to me are they illegal to get from overseas or just not allowed in the us at all? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question

Endangered in the wild so illegal in the US as in they are not allowed at all :(

However most if not all the asian aros in the aquarium trade are captive bred but still illegal.

do a search on your question. its been discussed in many threads many times before. sorry, but it becomes annoying seeing a new thread regarding the legality of asian aros in the US every week...

So are there any breeders in the united states selling color morphs like shown in the thread i posted? that can be legally purchased

if there are, then they would be keeping their mouths shut... for an asian aro to be legally purchased anywhere in the world, it must have a microchip certifying that it was farm raised and not wild caught. by no means are any asian aros legal to buy or sell in the us.

ah read previous closed thread
