When I had my cats in a 55gallon they would swim all over, I could power feed them and everything. Since I switched to the 180gallon many months ago and now they just seems to hover in the corner farthest from the light. And they seem to hate being by other fish. When I feed them the littlest guy grabs the food but if a fish gets to close he runs. The bigger guy just doesnt go near the food if any fish are near by. They are about 5" and 7". Could this be a case of not enough of the same species to feel good?

Sounds like a schooling problem to me. The same thing happens to p. pictus cats or corydoras. Get two, and they hide... get 6, and you have a pictus cat school surfing the walls of your tank, always. I would check out a lfs and get 2-3 more that are about the same size and see what happens.

I could pick up 2 more. I went to petland today to see if they still have the 2 albino pangs but the entire tank died of ick:(

I really wanted albinos, but I guess Ill have to settle for regular ones. Maybe ill pick up 2 more before the week ends.
