i have a 6-7" pangasius hypophthalmus and a 3" pangasius pangasius, i know that pangasius cats in general (excluding paroons etc...) aren't very preadtory because of the bad eyesite thing and are schooling/shoaling fish. What i am wondering is can i move the two pangasius cats together (not in the 180 cause the bigger pangsius got beat up in there) with just them, no other fish, without the bigger one eating the small one? or will one get eaten?

Pangasius are very predatory, and the 3" one will definitely get eaten. There is one on youtube of an ID shark eating a same size ID shark.

it also really depends on the fish. the video u r reffering to on youtube is NOT an avrage paroon shark. that owner must have starved his fish until it became purely a meat/live eater. my 30 inch paroon shark has never ever eaten any feeder fish or touched any forzen meat that i have thrown into the pond because he has only been trained to eat pellets.

then again, no 2 fish r the same so good luck!

My ID and My paroon never ate any live food. Algae pellets only. I do feed my golden clown knife goldfish. The goldfish are gone before they get to see the whole pond. I have never had a problem with compatibility. Just remember they like to freak out and bang into the sides of their tank/pond. I have lost a few little fish that could not move fast enough.
