Pangasius weird habit

Hi guys,
I bought an albino pangasius back in February, he was around 14inches and is about 16-17inches now. Ever since i got him, iv seen him gulping air every now and then. I spoke to a friend at my LFS and he says they sometimes do that. I have a smaller pangasius that doesn't do it and my dad had 2 pangasius' years ago that also didnt gulp air.
I was just wondering if anyone on here has had one that does this?

Checked your water parameters? Not being cheeky, genuine question. Also, those bad boys get massive; what sort of housing do you have for him?

Yeah the waters fine. All of my other fish are fine and they all feed. I also do weekly water changes.
He's in an 8x2.5x2.5ft tank with a 6x2x2ft sump
Its just a random habit he has i think, just curious if anyone else has experienced this

I've had dozen of them over the last 8 years. They all had done it. This is normal for them. I suppose you and your dad merely never caught them do it. The frequency is variable.

Definitely seen them do that, just like cory cats
