anybody keep them? I'm looking at them now...they seem so cool...but I'm worried about interactions with my spiny eel...

Don't do it! You would need a species only tank for those little guys.. or any crab for that matter...
I say that because for instance your eel will get picked on, or your eel with attempt eating your crab.. in my exerience it's just not a wise idea unless you want issues... I don't see having some kind of tetra with crabs such an issue.. although I'm sure the crab will win a nice snack every now and then..
