Papua Black Bass (Lutjanus Goldiei)

I've been seeing these for sale lately, but is anyone currently keeping them?

Based on the wild pictures I know they grow huge, but was just curious how fast the growth in aquariums was.

Unless one has a very large tank (as in huge!), no Lutjanus belongs in a home aquarium. And they do best in groups!

Here’s a great thread on an Aussie mangrove jack, also in the Lutjanus family. They don’t grow as large as PBB. Would you consider one of these instead? You still need a very large aquarium for a single fish…

Just thought I would start a thread to show the growth of my little Mangrove Jack.
Here is the little fella when I first got him nearly 6 months ago.
Maybe just 5cm long.
