yeah p. afer are nasty fish and usually cant be kept with anything.

A while back I purchased two six inchers who would hide during the day and at night when all the lights are off they would comeout and eat any fish they could get into their mouths,and any that they couldnt eat would have nasty bite marks.They dont like for the tank light to be on.I never saw them for sale at that size ,how much are they going for ? They are from west Africa and you will have to try different large peacefull tankmates.

P. Afer are one of the most aggressive Knife fish I've ever seen. They are very nocturnal and secretive. $50 is a great deal though.

I think they are more beautiful than the clowns but it seems that they were never as popular as the ckf probably because of their aggression,but that is a good price for the size and they are such a rareity nowadays I would love to see them.When they are for sale here ,they are called Pom Poms.

18'' RTC (who won't eat him)
2 x 18'' florida gar
and a 14'' Clown knife?

1 had one around the 2 foot mark and he attacked anything in his tank including plecos. i eventually had to get rid of him after he killed 2 fish in one night. 1 have one around the 12 inch mark and he is fine with other fish as long as they are bigger than him. i think it just depends on the fish.
