Can you breed a male dovii with a female jag? The male dovii is 10" or maybe a bit less. Is the dovii to old to accept a new fish for a mate or would it just kill it?

It comes to seeing if they will. It's possible yes, but doubt it.

What are my chances of even kkeeping a fish like a female jag in a tank with this guy? I've seen how agressive they are and I doubt a fish would work but I'm still gonna ask.

It's kinda a 50/50,some Dovii are just straight killers and some can more forgiving.There's a few people in the hybrid forum that have that x already and they look pretty cool.I have a 9-10" Male Dovii that would allow it but it varies with every Doviis aggression.I'd try it...

o i tried this very same combo only the dovii was smaller. my female jag got her ass royally kicked.

Yes i know there's a section for breeding but my questions weren't just about breeding so this thread is in the right place.
