Got what we believe to be a pair of these today for a 180g [US]. This is our first time with CAs. Any advise what we could put in with them

This could turn into an id thread. They were advertised as freddies and every time we go into the store we stand for ages drooling but I just found a thread on here and they may actually be parachromis loisellei :irked:. Will get some pics up when they settle

Just keep searching around the site & looking at pictures.
It'll get pretty easy to tell the difference if you look at a few of them.

Lou's are a nice fish to keep also though. You should be happy either way.

they will love the 180,you could try a few vieja many to choose from.you could go with some schoolers:SD,larger barbs, filament barbs,BA tetras, rainbowfish.keep in mind that if you try any non-cichlids they could get eaten or killed.best chance will be if the cichlids are small, get slighly larger school fish.

Can you post a pic? You might have parachromis friedrichsthalli La Ceiba Yellow Head. Very cool fish no matter which it is.

They're very shy wont come out when anyone in the room. Only in a 3ft at the moment but will defo get some pics as soon as I can

Have moved them into one of our SA tanks until we get their tank set up so they're now out and about so what do yous reckon
