I posted pictures of this fish when I first found him a couple years back on another site and the consensus was friedrichsthalii, but after seeing the loisellei from mtn pike's post I'm now leaning more towards loisellei. I found this fish at the lfs and it was a trade in that they had no idea what it was. I don't have many good pics, because I don't have a good camera, but I found one of the better ones I have as far as coloration.

My guess would be loisellei crossed with something?

Not experienced enough to say if it's crossed with anything but it looks like a loisellei to me. If I had a camera that worked I'd post a pic of my female freddy for you to compare. very nice fish!

Looks loisellei crossed with something I can't quite put my finger on. Either way very very cool parachromis! If you ever want to get rid of it I will buy it in a heart beat! :)

By the way how big is this fella?
I do need to downsize, but I'm not comfortable with shipping, especially with a fish this large, as he's 12-13"

I dug through some old posts and found a couple of the pictures from when I first got him, he wasn't as fat back then. It'd be kind of a bummer if he is some type of hybrid, but he is still a cool fish

The second pic makes me think now just pure loisellei. The first pic kinda threw me through a loop but i am confidant that it's loisellei male.

If your not comfortable shipping thast ok.... I just would really like to have that guy lol. He is very cool!
