A better view of the side would help, and are those colors true? Does it show red? Or strictly that yellowish gold? It could be a dulled out female mota, if that’s what it was sold as. But I could definitely see how you would doubt. A few more pics would definitely help.

To clarify I’m not saying it’s either or, simply that I could see a case for both. I see why your on the fence.

Strictly yellow, no red anywhere but I never seen a Freddy with that kind of jaw structure, only with the more aggressive parachromis species like mota, mana and dovi

Everyone’s just as confused as I am lol, it’s definitely male, his fins are longer than females and he’s around 2-3 inches
