parachromis in community setting?

Is it possible to keep any parachromis in a CA/SA community setting?

Yes, I have jags and a dovii in community setups.

My jag did great and so is my loisellei. It depends on the temperment. Dovii and motags are usually the hardest to keep w/ others.

Actually, the best thing to do would be to raise them all together, from around 2", if you want an almost surefire way to get a compatible community.

I would disagree, none of mine were raised together and they do quite well.

I would add one in the 5" range. You have alot of room and not alot of fish these cichlids will establish territories and likely cause problems as they grow. If one becomes overly dominant or aggressive you'll have to remove it.

Lol, but that doesn't mean that it was a better way than to grow them out together. Just saying, growing them out together always works better than throwing them in together as adults and hoping that they'll knit.
