A month or so ago, i bought what i thought was a parachromis motaguensis (sold as the common name false yellow jacket).

It looks like a female mota but i came across a picture of a Loiselle today and it made me wonder what fish it is i actually have.

What are the main differences between them?

If it helps, it is starting to grow its teeth.

Thanks

Looks like a loisellei based on the thick black lateral line and the white/light scales on the head/back...could be wrong...but that is a gorgeous fish, man.

Thanks guys. il try and get another picture tonight, this time from the front. its hard to snap from the front, appart from at dinner time but then the oscars get too excited and wont move!

No this isnt for sale im afraid. If it turns out to be a mota, do they get along fine with loisellei? because there is one near me for sale at the same size.
