So I started out as a SA/CA cichlid fan. But I loved all the aggressive ones. Countless tried mixing them, many times trying as many different ones as I could. Early one I found my favorite at the time cichlid festaes. Grew them out from .25" fry too about 5" took over a year and a hefty death toll list. So about 6 months ago I left the cichlid game all together and went to oddballs. Well my favourite lfs placed an order for my other favourite CA cichlid the RTM at 1-1.5"! Now will my journey down an old road with aggressive fish continue? My research has only come up with aggression as a pair of RTM. Like all CA/SA I know its a hit or miss with aggression but usually all the aggression I've encounter is towards other cichlids. The other thing I have found is that they are manly shy and usually go on the aggression in defense, when they are being messed with. I only want one and that would be a female. My stock is AT datnoids, bichirs, and a BGK fish that won't be aggressive towards them (one). So this is a more convince me out of a dumb buy kind of thing but if they is a chance I kind of want to take it as it was a fish I thought I would never get the chance to own being some LFS here have never even heard of it... Thanks for reading my long story.
Oh the RTM would be by themselves growing out for now (maybe with 2 bichirs) then into a over filtered 70g with bunch of fish or may hopefully have a 150-180g
