I thought I would start a thread to share some photos of my Parachromis Multifasciatus (formally P. Friedrichsthalii).

They are currently housed in a 215G aquarium along with 7 Cryptoheros Spilurus (2 males, 4 females and 1 unknown) and 4 Petenia Splendida. The P. Splendida are only being housed in this tank until their 315G tank arrives.

Pictured there is 3 females (I have only kept 2 and the male) fingers crossed soon he will pick a female and spawn. The females are around 6inches and he is around 8-9inches (rough estimates) He is really starting to thicken up and gain more yellow colouration as he grows.

Very nice.

They are beautiful ?
Have pics of the others?
Here are some images / a video of the Cryptoheros Spilurus. The Petenia Splendida arrived in quite poor condition (3 of 4 have bad HiTH I am working on healing) the one pictured is 11inches and the smallest of the 4 with the least amount of HiTH. They are still settling in, the other 3 are displaying much better colouration.

In the video you can see two pairs of C. Spilurus defending their free swimming fry 12 inches (30cm) apart from each other.

Thank you. I have high hopes for the snooks healing. In Australia the green variant has become so rare (the red is very common) thankfully the HiTH doesn’t affect their spawning ability. Hope to spawn them so they don’t disappear here.

I also have another group of 6, 8inch green snooks growing out separately that don’t have any HiTH

forget the freddys!!!! haha nice but look at those spilurus wow one of my favs
Haha. Thank you! I love Amatitlania and Cryptoheros species. My A. Nigrofascaita are actually some of my favourite fish in my fishroom. The Spilurus are cool though, you don’t see them everywhere and yet I’m overrun with them.

I have actually been trying to catch the smaller male Spilurus out for quite a while as having two constantly spawning pairs is a lot of aggression
