im looking into buying some fry from fishfarmusa on aquabid and would like to know what are the basics needed to keep these beautiful fish? ive found hardly any information on google search about these cichlids

I bought some from Ken about 2 months ago and they are growing very fast, but they are very mean even at 1.5 inches. I got 4 hoping to get a pair to form later, that is if they dont all kill each other first!

Reason why you haven't found any info is because they were just discovered by Ken who owns Fish Farm I believe he is the one who discovered them.

I would imagine you would treat them like any other parachromis species. 6.8-7.2 pH, low low nitrates below 15ppm, feed them krill, pellets, shrimp, veggie matter if they will eat it like Romaine lettuce. Nice big 125 as they probably attain 12+ inches in size.

hmmm well ill try and get a larger tank but its unlikely... sigh these fish look amazing

A 75 will suffice for like 1 & 1/2 years maybe more. If the fish only gets to 12" then a 75 will do but it will be a bit cramped.

i dont want to risk stunting the cichlid i know they grow fast... o well im sure theres something else out there for a 55 gallon - 75 gallon

plus the sheer aggression of these fish will require a large tank

How would you need a larger tank when there would nothing with it :screwy:? A 125 will do a pair for life or even a 5x1.5 would be good.

yeah....a larger tank....like a 125. Wasnt talking about a monster tank

i can try and find one or even maybe make one thanks everyone
