I set up a tank for my daughter with a paradise fish and some white cloud minnows 3 gold and 3 reg. A few days ago i noticed them bickering found 1 dead the next day. Found another dead tonight. Do i not have enough to spread out aggression ?

Temp is about 68-70

What other fish could i keep with the paradise fish ?

How big is the tank? Most Cyprinids will do ok in groups of 4-5 but to really get them to thrive aim for at least 6. The difference in color may be confusing them but then again green Aeneus Corys have no problem breeding with albinos...

Its a 30 gal

Ok sound good. Plus indont think there is enough bioload to support all the plants so that would help

Certainly would. I have the best progress growing plants in a 10 gallon fry tank with about 60 small guppies in it because of all their waste, and I do WCs every other day too!

What about zebra danios or rosy barbs ? From what i read they will do ok in temperate water tank doesnt get below 68ish

Paradise fish can be quite aggressive, and although slow, will not hesitate in hitting a white cloud that ventures too close.
Rosy barbs can also live in an unheated tank, and might be large enough to intimidate the paradise fish from attacking.
I kept a group (1 male to multiple females)of paradise fish in a rain barrel spring thru fall to keep down mosquitoes, where they would spawn. Could always pull out 20 or 30 young paradise in Sept or Oct.

Thanks d

Lfs has rosy's around the corner vs driving 40 min to get the white clouds

I've kept Rosy Barbs in an unheated tank - about 2 years with no deaths caused from illnesses (just some jumpers). They did well and looked great up until I moved and gave them away.
