I am getting ready to treat my tank with Parasite Clear by Jungle Labs. Any advice or tips??

I am quite sure they're gill flukes.

I dissolved 8 tablets in tank water and added to tank about 4 hrs ago. Do I continue on as usual? Every is eating as normal. I am hoping to see improvemenet on the gills over the next few days...is that too much to expect.

A treatment is good for 48 hours. When I treated my fish for flukes, I did 2 treatments (thats 96 hours of treatment, do a 50% W/C between treatments).

You can also add salt, increase wound healing. I've added salt many times at 1 Tblspn/5gal with Parasites Clear without any adverse effects.

I would NOT feed the fish while treating them. Although Parasite Clear claims it does not harm BB, I noticed when I fed mt fish, a saw a little bit of a bump in ammonia [I would think Parasite clear probably stresses your BB and prevents it from working optimally].

Like I said before, I saw very fast improvements (however, my fish had a severe case of flukes, laying on floor, rapid breathing).

Good luck and keep us updated! :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

Yeah salt reduces stress and helps enhance the disease treatment. I would suggest 1tbs for every 5gal. You may need to do several treatments to get rid of the flukes. The treatment will stay in the water for about 48hrs, usually less. Do a 50% water change, drop in 7. I would then wait another 48hrs and repeat. A total of 3 treatments over a week should kill em off. Salt will certain help the general health of the fish though, it helps alot with gill function, and disease recovery.
Salt also adds essential electrolytes, whatever they are.

Thanks Mike....Gonna do my second treatment tomorrow and see what happens. The King Kong parrot has already brightenend his colors 10 fold. He may of been the culprit that brought them in. But anyway, he looks a ton healthier. The endlie and senegal dont seem to be affected.
