I never use this, I just always had the impression that it was very harsh and very hard on the fish. But everywhere I read, everyone seems to swear by it. I would be very weary of trying this on scaleless fish, but what about any other fish, as far as treating for parasite/fungus?

Thanks!

I have found it to be perfectly acceptable to all my fish, including scaleless pictus cats and clown loaches.

Thus far, on what I'm trying to treat, I haven't found it to be all that effective, though.

I actually called Jungle to try to find out what amount of Metro and Prazi it contains and nobody could tell me. Typical medicines, such as API's general cure, have 250 and 75 (mg, I believe) respectively.... judging by the cost I just assumed Jungle's has less per tablet.

Does anybody know for sure if this stuff is safe for scaleless fish? I want to use it for my smallmouth bass that has anchor worms, but I also have a brown bullhead catfish.

I like Parasite Clear and have a 100 tab dispenser of it to use for any parasitic emergencies.

I have used it on many types of loaches: dojo, yoyo, clown. I treated at full dosage and haven't had any problems.

Good luck!

PC just about killed 2 of my young flowerhorns. But juvie fish cn't handle the medicine as well as adults. I did a quick water change and they came right back.

Sounds like your overdosed. It says on the package in bold letters: DO NOT OVERDOSE.

If in doubt, do a 80% treatment. Still works the same.

I will make sure to do this lightly. I have 260 gallons, so I will probably only dose like 230 of it to be sure I don't kill anything.

I purchased the 100 tablet version from Big Al's.
