Parasite Cure?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thats a cure for ick, its not a good idea to dose your pond if there is no parasites or problems. i'd wait till your pond cycles then acclimate them and introduce them to your pond. i'd watch to make sure your fish are disease free and fine after the introduction.

It claims to treat other parisites too, but I guess ill wait and check for signs of parasites. I read somewhere its better to immeaditaly treat though after being caught.

This is not true. It's very poor practice to treat a fish (or any animal for that matter) when you don't even know if its sick, or what it has. This leads to unnecessary stress for the fish and the person caring for them.

No point in treating unless theres signs of parasites/disease. Just leave them in quarantine.

Ok that good, would three or four 5ish inch bluegill be ok in a 20 gallon QT, I dont have a large tank to qt them in.

They're very aggressive.. I don't think that will be a good idea. They're also very aggressive towards species of their own so.. I would recommend only keeping 1 unless you have a very large tank.

Its a 250 gallon pond. I would probably QT for about a week, and if need be treat for a few days. I may also get a couple bream, I catch a couple different kinds of sunfish.
