So 5 days ago i saw a bruise near the gill & fin area on my obscura and i thought it was from one of the other fish. Unfortunately it turned out to be a parasite, i'm thinking anchorworms? I need some experts to shine in and identify the parasite and hopefully show me to treat it. Its a big bruise with a long worm like thing sticking out.

Remove it with tweezers and monitor situation. parachanna/channa are tough fish and will usually heal on their own. If it doesn't get any better after 5 days or gets worse after 3 days then add a tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallon of water.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to give me some advice. I pulled the worm out and i left the channa in a heated bucket with some medicine since last night and it looks like hes doing fine. My worse nightmare is if i put him back in, and he spreads the parasite, i have no idea what parasite it is so i don't know if its contageous.
