Parasite?

I've found little white/clear "threads" (look like fibers) floating around my tank and on the heads of my Oscars. The only thing i can describe it as is perfectly straight fibers, they look like pieces of fiberglass. Also on the side of the tank there is what looklike tiny eggs or white aglae on the glass. Does this sound like anything i should be worried about? I did an Ick treatment last night, I know it's not, but.... and I will do a water change tonight. Should I do a 50/50 or the whole thing and should i wash the gravel, plants, and other stuff in the tank?
If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know.

Don't pull the gravel out and wash it as you will destroy a good chunk of beneficial bacteria. Do your water change and see how it goes from there, it's more than likely just your clean up crew (worms/planaria) coming out due to over feeding.

Doing an ich treatment without even knowing what exactly the problem is, is a very dangerous thing to do. Use carbon to remove the med. Do you have snails in your tank? You cannot see ich cysts with the naked eyes.

no i don't have any snails, but I didn't shut off the filter when i put the ick treatment in, so it all got sucked back out into the carbon anyway. I guess we'll see what happens with the water change.
