So my friend messaged me the following

I think she might have internal parasites. I'm not really sure bc I don't see the white crap that's supposed to happen. Usually the fish come up to the top when I walk in for food and the GT would usually swim around the top and dip down to defend territory every now and then. The last couple days shes just been sitting at the bottom in corners moving as little as possible...she will chase other fish out of certain areas but isn't eating at all -- the only other symptom other than not eating and basically being lazy is I do see her opening her mouth really wide more than usual. Just from google i'm guessing its a parasite. Any advice on treating this? I'm hoping maybe its just a weird phase or something. The other two fish in the tank don't seem to have any issues. Thanks man!

And I have no idea what it could be

Does she seem bloated or fatter than usual? Any problems swimming when she does swim? I would add Epsom salt at 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons in case of constipation and add prazi pro as directed to the tank

not bloated that I can tell.....not any skinnier either. When she does swim it looks normal...not bumping into things or swimming with weird angles and stuff like that. I added salt and bought some API General Cure powder. Just to try to at least contain whatever it is from spreading or getting worse.

I'd continue witht the salt treatment and recommended water changes that go along with it. If the only symptom is not eating and acting sluggish it could simply be constipation. I wouldnt jump to the conclusion of parasites and treat for them until you have a symptom that can confirm this
