Have you tested your water?
No
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes
If I do not change my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be recommended to do a water change, and water changes are critical for preventing future freshwater health problems.
Not even a rookie mistake, just laziness, impulse and giving-in to surface begging...
Q: how species-specific do nematode(?) parasites tend to be, including survivorship/infection to a freshwater fish?

Was working on the fishing beach the other day & got a bag of deepwater mackerel. Home & cleaning, they've got roe, which I packaged onto the freeze-tray. On the way to the freezer, threw a few to the blue-dolphin cichlids in the big in-wall (they didn't recognize as food) and to the oscars in the yard pond. Rest went into freezer.
In the AM there are dead-solid thead-worms all over the egg bundles... poop. And of course.

Thanks,

You may be ok because the nemotodes are adapted to saltwater. Hopefully they won't survive after being eaten.
