Parasites?

I was wondering the likelyhood that if something from a pond was in my fish tank if i could get parasites.
My friend brought me some rocks for my fish tank and didn't tell me they were from a pond. Could my fish even get parasites from that.
I had them in for 1 day then took them out when i figured out.

The possibilty always exists if add somthing new like that to a tank. What kind of fish do you have and how big is the tank?

If the rocks were left out to dry for an extended time or better yet, sterilized, then your odds are slim. It's always possible.
