I aquired these a few weeks ago, i have introduced 7 juveniles to the tank.

They are a variation from Rio Grande. I believe the parents were originally caught last year by german collectors. Really looking forward to their development.

I've always loved your tank and decor..... looks extremely natural!

Interesting fish. Any ideas what they'll look like as adults?

Yes, they are very similar to zonatus, almost to the point where a lot of zonatus sold are more than likely sp 'coatzacoalcos'. I'm told there are differences, but i think its time that this fish is properly described.

Sorry for late reply, been away.:)

Beautiful tank and good looking specimens!

gorgeous fish and incredible tank. These pics of your tank inspired me to do a little work on my 125 and 75. Still nothing comparable (especially since I still keep a few clay pots) but I'm much happier with my tanks now than I was before. :) Now if only I could change my 125 over to sand. Maybe one of these days. Not that I can't do it...it would just be quite an undertaking and I don't have it in me right now. LOL **Plus I'm worried about burning out more HOB filters**
