PARATHERAPS/VIEJA ID

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I always use a process of elimination when trying to I.D. mysterious paratheraps. It's not a bifasciatus, not a synspilus or melanarus (I don't think), doesn't look like a hartwegi, definitely not one of the vieja types. So, I'd guess zonatus or guttulatus. I still might be way off though.

Looks Vieja. Not syn or bifa. Flower, I think you are right with either zonatus or guttulatus.
Im leaning towards Vieja Zonata.

I leaning to Maculicauda as Fene's, Breidohri, Zonatus, gutti's, Hatwegi, and melanarus all have a more streamlined body structure in juvi stage. Your fish has a Syn/Black Belt/ Bifa looking body at juvi stage.

My opinion Black Belt. But the yellow in the fins is throwing me way off
