My favorite cichlid by a mile, enormous personalities on these guys. They're under rated for sure, not among people that know fish but I doubt you would ever see one of these guys at a Petsmart. And that's a good thing.

Do you have him all alone in there? I have what I believe to be a "mini harlem" of them. Two females and one male with some other Madagascans and south americans. My dominant male checks a Hoplarchus Psittacus that's easily twice his size.
