I just bought my Paratilapia about a week ago and it is not really eating. In the store he was very healthy, so I am not super worried at this point, but I do find it bothering me. Right now he is in with some bichirs. I have tried pellets (cichlid gold), carnivore pellets, and blackworms (which he nibbled on but did not eat a substantial amount). I was wondering what every here feeds theirs so that I can fatten this guy up again and sleep at night.

I have a sneaking suspicion that he could be bothered by the filters current, but I don't know...do they like less movement in their water?

My large spot eats Hikari Gold sinking pellets, frozen brine shrimp, and takes freeze dried krill out of my hand. He goes through phases where he eats very, very well, and then won't eat much for a week or so. This is especially true after changing the decor or the current stock in the tank. Mine has proven to be a very hardy fish, my guess is that yours will bounce back in a few days. BTW, mine isn't crazy about bloodworms either.
