Does anyone have experience or good info on these fish aka black diamond cichlid. I just got one and put it in my 150 gallon. It seems very shy, but also intelligent, more so than the other cichlids. Also my salvini seems not to like it.

Great fish, though not SA/CA they have similar water requiremnets and similar temperment. They cannot survive lip locking with other SA/CA cichlids though so need to watch if it is contesting to be king of the tank. Also IMO the magority of the ones I've had/have, seem to be less stressed when kept in smaller tanks and solo. When I've had mine in larger tanks they did alot of sulking in the corner, regardless of tankmates.
 
I have a fifty gallon breeder that I am currently growing out a jd and some firemouths. Should I remove him a put him in there when I add them to the 150? I really like the fish and would hate to see it get injured. I thought a fifty gallon would be to small for him though.
