Paratilapia pollini

I would greatly appreciate some good info on the care of these fish as I recently purchased one. Who seems a little timid and won't eat much. Just spits out pellets and prefers the tiny particles that come from the other fish. There is not much info about them online. Thanks

I couldn't find any info online either. But the good news is yours is probably just a baby and is on the right track. When I first got mine he would spit out the pellets and only eat flakes and particles. Recently finally started eating the pellets...sometimes lol. still will spit them once in a while. i just think the pellets are too hard for them and they dont like crushing them. You could try soaking them first to make them soft or you could give him flakes for a while. Just a suggestion.

it just takes time. eventually they will eat anything. Mine are like oscars now.
